It's a movie theater, and I don't have a set position. So I'll be working the box office, concessions, projectors (I think - they weren't entirely clear on that), and as an usher. I get free movies, and if things haven't changed since my cousin's ex-husband worked here, I also get free popcorn at the end of the day and a chance at keeping the posters and standees. So even if I don't get any real benefits, I'm super happy with that. :D I'll be earning $0.25 less per hour than my last job, though, but this one won't suck so it's worth it.

Best of all - The theater is attached to a mall, so I can pretty much eat something new every day without ever needing to go out in the cold to get it. Also it's the only part of the mall that gets a parking deck, so my car will stay cool in the summer.

The only thing I'll miss from my old job is the thermostat... Working alone in a building the size of a walk-in closet sure had its perks there. I had no restrictions on temperature since it was so cheap to heat or cool the whole kiosk, so it could be set pretty much anywhere from 50 to 90. Best part is that all the customers were outside, so they'd come up wearing a million layers and shaking like mad while I'm just sitting around in short sleeves, feeling awesome.

I would do that. If nobody else wants to take any of the day's popcorn, I'll volunteer to put it all in a trash bag and take it home. Then, I'll keep it in my car and if someone steals my parking space, I'll dump it all over theirs to attract birds. :D

Can you promise me one thing? Please please pretty please? If you're cleaning after hours and find a bag with money in it can you please keep it?

What theatre? Just curious because my family is very involved in the movie theatre industry.

Wait, has that happened before? I think if I do find anything within the first month or so, I'll turn it in right away for brownie points. After that, maybe I'll keep some stuff depending on the value. My grandma actually lost a golden earring (whoa, I'm listening to Radar Love right now. No joke.) in a theater last week, and she was definitely bummed out about it. So, you know...

AMC. We get our favorite movie printed on our name tags. :D I chose Hot Fuzz.

Hmmm, not a fan of AMC they force the film suppliers to not give us (Cobb Theaters/Cinebistro) the best new movies that we want. Hence the Lawsuit.

Huh. I wasn't aware of a lawsuit, but that sucks. Still, for a non-corporate employee, it's a pretty awesome gig.

I can't recall where or the exact amount but the story was that some kid was cleaning up and found a bag of money that was about $40k in it and actually turned it in. The money was claimed the next day when the owner came to ask about it. Turns out some lady was on her way to put a down payment on a house but her kids just couldn't contain themselves and just had to see some bullshit movie. She "accidentally" left the money under her seat and realized the next day.

Stupid idiot kid didn't even accept the $100 thank you the lady was trying to give him. Something about God and not meant for him (how do you know if God didn't mean for you to find the $40k to improve your life you mook) and just accepted some cookies she bought for him instead.

Point is, if you find money keep that shit. If someone is stupid enough to stop for a movie on their way to deposit $40k and didn't even realize it was left behind that's not your problem. Just don't go lease an F Type the day after and show up doing burn outs in the parking lot lmao.

I dunno, that's a huge amount of money to lose. I'd accept the reward for sure, but no way I'd keep it all.

I did one time find a stash of nickels in the woods for some reason. That was like $500. I didn't bother trying to find the owner since it was a public park and who the hell carries several hundred pounds of nickels into the woods anyway?
